Register the
Formerly Incarcerated
to Vote

Over 5 million Americans are disenfranchised, or prohibited from voting, based on felony convictions. However: In New York State, for example, previously incarcerated persons can vote. They need only:

1) Be 18 years of age;

2) Complete parole;

3) Be an American citizen; and

4) Re-register (fill out a voter registration card)
